Board of Education
Our work supporting Schools, Children and Chaplaincies in universities and colleges is guided by the Diocesan Board of Education (DBE).
DBEs are constituted by a Measure of Parliament. The Chelmsford DBE meets three times per year and in chaired by the Ven Elwin Cockett, Archdeacon of West Ham. Its work is supported by its Executive Committee and four sub-committees:
- + School Standards and Effectiveness;
- + Schools' Mission and Ethos;
- + Schools Organisation and Resources;
- + Children.
The Children’ and Youth Advisory Group co-ordinates work with young people in parishes.
Our support for Academies is overseen by the Chelmsford Diocesan Education Trust which appoints Members to Church School Academy Trusts.
