"The Diocese of Chelmsford is committed, as part of the Christian Church living in the spirit of the Gospel, to protect and care for everyone and we aim to be a beacon of best practice in safeguarding. Looking the other way is not an option."
The Chelmsford Diocesan Board of Education takes safeguarding very seriously. Each of the schools is responsible for having a child protection policy, ensuring every adult has safeguarding training and is DBS checked. It is recommended that the Diocese of Chelmsford online safeguarding course is used alongside more education specific courses. For further infomation on safeguarding, please see the Diocese of Chelmsford website.
Do you suspect an incident of abuse? All safeguarding concerns should be acted on immediately by referring to the Dedicated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) within the school. They will then take the appropriate action.
