Virtual governance sessions

To support governors across the Diocese, Our Governance Consultant, Mike Simmonds is introducing a new opportunity to discuss any current issues or concerns, support one another and introduce ideas.

Governance chat

First Friday of every month at 12:15pm

Grab your sandwich and join Mike at lunchtime for 30 mins chat about governance on the first Friday of each month (term time). You can book in and get the Zoom log in details from the booking form below.

Governance questioning

Tuesday 20 October at 7pm

This one hour session will look at what we can learn from coaching so that our ‘questioning’ of school leaders is more collaborative and effective.

'Hit the Ground Kneeling' for effective governance

Thursday 7 January 2021 at 7pm

Our former Bishop’s small book, Hit the Ground Kneeling, is powerful and very useful. You would need to purchase and read the book before the session. More book club in style than training session, this will start the 2021 focussed on what’s really important in continuing your governance role.

Governance e-learning course

Don’t forget our own Chelmsford governance e-learning course, especially for any new governors starting their term of office. They should enrol by emailing education@chelmsford.anglican.org for a code.
