Creative Approaches to Chaplaincy in Schools

This one day course is for beginners to chaplaincy. It will help you explore what chaplaincy is and consider what creative, workable approaches could look like in your own school context—focusing on the ministry of presence, belonging, and being alongside pupils, staff and families.

This practical, interactive day explores creative approaches to chaplaincy in church schools, focusing on the ministry of presence: how we create spaces of belonging, walk alongside pupils and staff, and nurture hopeful, resilient communities.

Together we will clarify what chaplaincy is, explore different chaplaincy models, and consider how peer chaplaincy can be introduced safely and effectively in order to enhance your school community.

We are pleased to welcome Kt Haynes from Stortvalley Schools Trust to share first hand practical ideas around school chaplaincy.

Ideal for school leaders and those supporting Christian distinctiveness, the day will offer transferable ideas, prompts, and simple next steps for strengthening chaplaincy practice in your own context.
