Over the October half term 12 teachers and school leaders - and a couple of Diocesan School Advisors - were lucky enough to spend the week working alongside colleagues in our partner schools in Kenya.
They visited schools in the Kenya Diocesan areas of Embu, Kirinyaga, Mbeere and Meru and spent time developing projects based on one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, both in our own schools and in our partner schools in Kenya, working with children and their teachers in both settings, to develop long lasting and meaningful partnerships.
We learnt so much from our Kenyan colleagues about the curriculum they deliver with such creativity and commitment. We learnt about resilience and the role of faith in these schools and communities, that are supported by the Anglican Church of Kenya.
And we learnt about the things we have in common, as we all strive to nurture and educate our children, to support them to flourish.
We have so much to share with everyone about this incredible opportunity – and plan to create an area on the website to share news of these ongoing partnerships – watch this space for more news!
