Annual School Leaders Conference 2026

Bishop of Colchester, Roger Morris and Carrie Prior opened the day followed by a deeply insightful session from The Reverend Canon Craig Huxley-Jones, who talked about the theology of inclusion.

Rita Yoe then introduced ‘The Difference’ resource, which sparked genuine excitement across the room. Her call to be curious, be present and re‑imagine resonated strongly among the group.

We also heard from Gary Smith of Hope Learning Academy Trust, who shared his leadership journey and reinforced a message that lies at the heart of our work: every decision we make must start with the child, and championing the most vulnerable is the most important thing we can do.

After lunch, Patrick Regan OBE delivered an exceptional session on mental and spiritual health. His reflections on the “resilience river” and the importance of caring for our own wellbeing in order to support others were powerful and timely.
