Bishop of Colchester visits Holy Trinity School, Halstead

21 August 2024

In July, The Right Reverend Roger Morris, Chair of the Chelmsford Diocese Board of Education, visited Holy Trinity CofE (VA) Primary School to congratulate the community on gaining the Christian Aid Global Neighbours Award at Bronze level.

The children talked to him about the courageous advocacy work such as art pieces on anti-racism and spirited arts as well as the school's input into a banner on climate justice for the Glastonbury Festival.

The children and staff also discussed with him the global citizenship work and international projects that are happening at the school.

Head teacher Sarah Rowe was delighted that Bishop Roger had taken the time to visit and said that as a keen advocate for a wide range of environmental issues, he had particularly enjoyed looking at the garden and allotment space and hearing about current and forthcoming eco projects.
