Annual School Leaders Conference: Being Human in the School of the Future - AI, Flourishing and Faithful Leadership

Artificial intelligence is changing the way we live, learn and work. For Church schools, this raises important questions about leadership, learning and what it means to be fully human in a rapidly changing world.

This annual conference will bring together Church school leaders, governors and trust leaders to explore AI through the lens of Christian faith and human flourishing. The day will include worship, keynote presentations, practical input and opportunities for discussion and reflection.

We are delighted to welcome Andy Wolfe, Interim Chief Education Officer for the Church of England, who will explore what it means to be fully human in an age of artificial intelligence and consider the implications for the flourishing school of the future.

Delegates will also hear from a leading voice from the technology sector, offering insight into emerging developments in AI and the opportunities and challenges these present for education.

Members of the Chelmsford Diocesan Board of Education team will lead a practical session exploring how Church schools can engage with AI wisely, ethically and effectively whilst remaining rooted in their Christian vision and values.

By the end of the conference, delegates will have a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, greater confidence in engaging with these developments in their own school context, and practical next steps for leading faithfully and effectively in a changing educational landscape.

Hosted at Gosfield Hall, the day includes breakout spaces, refreshments, and lunch. Open to Headteachers, school leaders, and governors, this is a vital opportunity to reflect, connect, and lead with purpose.
