When a bereavement or significant loss occurs within your school community, you do not have to face it alone.
As Christian communities, we are called to walk alongside one another in times of sorrow, offering compassion, hope and practical support. We recognise that grief is deeply personal, and that there is no single way or timescale for grieving.
Our dedicated Schools Adviser is available to provide immediate advice, support and appropriate signposting, helping schools to respond with care and sensitivity to the needs of children, families and staff.
We can also offer a staff training session on ‘Bereavement and Loss in School’, exploring how children and adults experience grief, how schools can respond well following a death or significant loss, and how our Christian understanding of hope can help us to accompany one another through difficult times.
If your school is experiencing bereavement or loss, or you would like to arrange training for your staff, please contact Laura O’Boyle via the Education Team.
