This resource has been designed to support class collective worship within our diocese and can also be adapted for whole‑school worship.
Each worship follows the Anglican tradition of Gather – Engage – Respond – Send, offering a clear, familiar structure. Schools are invited to customise the greeting and blessing to reflect their local community, and to enrich the Send section with links to any current social action or charitable initiatives taking place in school.
The series contains four collective worship sessions exploring foundational questions about prayer: What is prayer? Why do people pray? How do people pray? When do people pray?
These sessions aim to broaden pupils’ understanding of prayer as an important part of Christian life and tradition, while recognising its diversity and depth.
A planning document is included for those who prefer not to use the PowerPoint. For any suggestions or feedback, please contact loboyle@chelmsford.anglican.org
